As a young mother trying to find balance in my life, I came across Anais Nin. My perspective on life became validated and I felt a sense of comfort I have always searched for. I named my most beloved dog Bijou to feel a bit of Anais with me. I have most of her work on my shelves. As a fellow Pisces she feels like my spiritual conduit to the ever lasting. I space my purchases of her work out, to make it last. I so hope that on some level of time and space I get to have a meeting with her essence.

Kate, you are a very fortunate person to have met Rupert Pole and to have had that brief connection to Anais Nin. She was a brilliant, intriguing, captivating woman, so I think it was one of the highest compliments to have caught the attention of her widowed husband as you apparently did. What a neat experience.

I first came across Anais in the opening to Elizabeth Lesser\'s book Broken Open. It begins with the quote, \"And the time came when the risk to remain tight in a bud was more painful than the risk it took to blossom.\" It was an invitation to listen to and head the wisdom of my soul. Much gratitude to Anais and Elizabeth! I\'m thrilled to have discovered this sight and look forward to learning so much more from and about Anais.
